Where will my donation be allocated?

Your donation will go directly to The High School of Glasgow Educational Trust (Scottish Charity No. SC004394) and will support our 900 Campaign fundraising aims. Our Giving Day will primarily support our Bursary Fund, but you may indicate on the donation form if you would like your gift to be allocated to one of the other 900 Campaign funds (START, Sustainability or Unrestricted).

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments through HSOG's Giving Day website will be securely processed by Stripe www.stripe.com/gb/privacy and Stripe US www.stripe.com/en-US/privacy.

Why is my payment not going through?

Please check that you have included your postcode in both the address field and the card details field of the donation form. If there is still a problem, you may need to contact your card provider and inform them that the payment is valid. For any queries please don't hesitate to contact the External Relations Team at development@hsog.co.uk.

Can I see my gift on this website?

Yes, so long as you haven't indicated that you would like your gift to be anonymous you can view your name on our Donor Wall.

I set up a recurring payment, what will show in the totaliser?

The overall total of your direct debit payments for the duration of time selected will show up on our totaliser.

Is there a minimum donation?

No, all donations are greatly appreciated. Through the power of cumulative giving, we can make a truly transformational difference.

How can I make a donation to The High School of Glasgow's Giving Day?

You can choose to make a one-off or regular donation by completing our online form here.

In addition to making a donation to our Bursary Fund, you will have the opportunity to support another area of the 900 Campaign including: START, Sustainability or the Unrestricted Fund where your gift will be allocated to where the School needs it most.

Is there another way to make a donation other than by participating in your Giving Day?

There are various ways you can donate to The High School of Glasgow.

We can accept cheques (including CAF cheques), sent via post to the following: External Relations Department, The High School of Glasgow, 637 Crow Road, Glasgow, G13 1PL.

Additionally, you can choose to make a one-off or regular donation via our own website here.

We are also able to accept donations via direct bank transfer. Please reach out to the External Relations Team for the relevant bank details. You can do so via email at development@hsog.co.uk, or by calling 0141 954 9628.

If you currently reside in the USA or Canada, you can make a donation via The Chapel & York Foundation, an organisation which seeks to increase the flow of philanthropic funds to charities worldwide, whilst offering donors the opportunity to give tax efficiently. You can choose to make a regular or individual donation by using our online donation form here.

Can you claim Gift Aid on my donation?

Yes, if you indicate that you are eligible for Gift Aid we are able to claim an additional 25p for every £1 donated.

In order to qualify for Gift Aid, you must be a registered UK taxpayer. Please note, if you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed by The High School of Glasgow Educational Trust on all of your donations, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
